👋 Hey! I'm Vincent Hsiao, a UC Berkeley student majoring in Statistics and intended Computer Science.

I'm very enthusiastic about exploring the intersection of computing, mathematics, and statistics, as well as exploring their applications in real-world fields.

Currently, I'm particularly interested in software development, data science, and quantitative analysis roles, and I'm actively seeking internships in these areas for the upcoming summer.

My journey so far

I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and now live in Pacifica, just south of SF. A fun fact is that I spent my early years in China before returning to the U.S., an experience that gave me a unique cultural perspective and shaped my worldview.

Throughout my education, I’ve attended small schools—from local public institutions to a charter high school with under 500 students—pushing me to adapt and thrive in diverse environments.

Now at UC Berkeley, I’m continuing to grow academically while pursuing my interests in statistics and computer science.

On a lighter note,

Outside of academics and work, I enjoy swimming, travelling, exploring the Bay Area's places and restaurants, and playing video games (but you can read more about that here!).

What am I up to now?

And more!
